India, March 28 -- Even as global geopolitical uncertainties continue to impact hiring sentiment across markets, Indian engineering talent remains in demand, with AI-led platform Cognavi placing 13 students in Japan at an average package of Rs 42.15 lakh per annum. Out of 127 applicants, 13 candidates secured offers ranging between Rs 42.15 lakh and Rs 56.27 lakh, underlining a strong international appetite for specialised engineering skills from India despite ongoing global disruptions.

The highest offer in the cohort touched Rs 56.27 lakh (9.6 million yen), while the average stood at 7.1 million yen. The students were recruited from institutions including IIT Madras, IIT Mandi and the SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
