India, May 4 -- On the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, the Spearhead Gunners, under the aegis of Spear Corps, organised a meaningful community outreach programme at Menchuka, reinforcing the Indian Army's commitment towards fostering harmony, environmental stewardship and civil-military synergy.

As part of the initiative, a tree plantation drive was conducted in collaboration with Gaon Budhas (village elders), symbolising collective responsibility towards environmental conservation. The activity drew active participation from the local community and reflected the timeless teachings of Lord Buddha on peace, balance and respect for nature.
