Indian Army honours Kargil hero Captain Kenguruse
India, June 30 -- The Spear Corps of the Indian Army and the Assam Rifles on Sunday solemnly commemorated the 27th Memorial Day of Captain Neikezhakuo Kenguruse, Maha Vir Chakra (Posthumous), at Nerhe Phezha Village in Kohima district. Fondly remembered as the "Hero of Nagaland," Captain Kenguruse made the supreme sacrifice during the Kargil War on 28 June 1999. The solemn ceremony at the Kenguruse War Memorial was graced by Lieutenant General Girish Kalia, GOC, Spear Corps, alongside the fallen hero's proud parents, Mr and Mrs Neiselie Kenguruse, veterans, and serving personnel.
