India, July 11 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India is emerging as a global model of development despite mounting international challenges, highlighting the country's rapid economic growth, digital transformation and technological advancements during an address to the Indian diaspora in New Zealand.

Speaking at the 'Kia Ora Modi' community event in Auckland, attended by New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, Modi said India and New Zealand share a relationship rooted in friendship, shared democratic values and people-to-people ties.
