India, June 22 -- India is reportedly in advanced discussions with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a major defence export deal that could include the sale of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile-widely regarded as one of the fastest cruise missiles in the world-along with the Akashteer air defence system, according to media reports.

The proposed agreement would mark a significant expansion of India-UAE defence cooperation, with Abu Dhabi showing interest in strengthening its missile and air defence capabilities amid shifting regional security dynamics in the Middle East.
