India, March 24 -- India and Russia must tackle regulatory hurdles and non-tariff barriers to significantly boost bilateral trade, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Monday, reaffirming New Delhi's commitment to deepening its long-standing ties with Moscow.

Speaking via video link at a conference on future bilateral cooperation, Jaishankar highlighted that relations between the two countries continue to strengthen despite shifting global dynamics.

He stressed that a changing multipolar world makes closer coordination between India and Russia increasingly important, particularly through forums such as BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, the G20, and the United Nations.
