India, Oct. 6 -- BJP MP Alok Sharma has said that while social media has provided new and widespread platforms for expression, the increasing use of indecent and offensive language is a matter of concern for society.

Language is not only a medium of communication, but also a reflection of society's culture and sensitivity, he stated.

"In such times, the responsibility of journalism increases even more to strongly present facts, the dignity of language, and social concerns," Sharma noted.
