India, July 7 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow Alert for Delhi-NCR as light rainfall brought much-needed relief to residents after days of intense heat and humidity. The weather department has forecast more showers, thunderstorms and gusty winds across the region.

Several parts of the national capital witnessed rainfall on Tuesday, leading to a drop in temperatures and improved weather conditions. The IMD has predicted a generally cloudy sky with chances of light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds in Delhi and adjoining areas, including Noida, Gurugram and Ghaziabad.
