India, March 14 -- A first-year student of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi was found hanging from a ceiling fan inside a campus apartment on Thursday morning. The student was declared dead after being taken for medical examination, and a case has been registered as part of an investigation into the suspected suicide.

According to police, a PCR call about the incident was received at Kishangarh Police Station at around 8:35 am on March 12. After receiving information, a police team rushed to the New Vindhyachal Apartment located inside the IIT Delhi campus, where the student was found hanging from a ceiling fan with the help of a stole.
