India, Sept. 11 -- A hostel cook was allegedly stabbed to death by a fellow staff member at Anjaiah Nagar in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, with police taking the accused into custody.

The deceased was identified as Sashidhar, who worked as a cook at a men's hostel in the area, according to reports.

Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the killing. The accused, identified as Pramod, was also employed at the same hostel and allegedly attacked Sashidhar with a knife.

The incident took place at the hostel in Anjaiah Nagar, a residential locality in Gachibowli that has several private hostels and paying guest accommodations.
