India, Oct. 5 -- Israeli airstrikes hit multiple targets in Gaza on Saturday, killing at least six people, according to local health officials. The strikes came hours after US President Donald Trump unveiled a peace initiative aimed at ending the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.
The escalation came despite recent indications that Hamas had accepted certain terms of Trump's proposed peace plan, including the possible release of Israeli hostages held in Gaza.
