India, May 9 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday paid tribute to Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore on his birth anniversary, saying the legendary poet and philosopher strengthened Bharat's spirit that later resonated across the world.

Remembering Tagore on the occasion of Rabindra Jayanti, Sarma said the literary icon's timeless thoughts and contributions continue to inspire generations and guide society towards enlightenment.
