India, July 20 -- A major anti-drug operation in Telangana has uncovered an illegal narcotics manufacturing unit operating from a poultry farm on the outskirts of Annasagar village. Acting on intelligence, the state's EAGLE Force raided the Lakshmi Narasimha Poultry Farm and seized more than one kilogram of Alprazolam, a sedative valued at over Rs.20 lakh, along with chemicals and equipment used to manufacture the drug.

Police arrested four people in connection with the racket. The alleged mastermind, Jaya Prakash Goud, had reportedly been arrested last year for running a similar drug lab from a school.
