India, Sept. 29 -- The Calcutta High Court will on October 6 hear a petition by Mamata Banerjee's TMC faction leader Abhishek Banerjee over the "sudden withdrawal" of his Z-plus security cover following the West Bengal assembly election results in May. The Diamond Harbour MP's lawyer moved the court of Justice Krishna Rao on Monday, seeking urgent hearing of his petition. Justice Krishna Rao said the plea will be taken up for hearing on October 6, and directed the petitioner to serve notice upon the parties in the meantime. Abhishek Banerjee's lawyer Ayan Bhattacharjee stated that his client had been allotted Z-plus security cover since 2016.
