Gurugram police advise WFH as heavy rain triggers severe traffic chaos
India, July 8 -- Amid relentless rainfall and widespread waterlogging, Gurugram Police have advised corporate offices and private establishments to allow employees to work from home (WFH) to ease traffic congestion and ensure public safety. The advisory was issued late Tuesday after heavy showers left key roads and expressways gridlocked across the city.
According to the police, reducing the number of vehicles on the road will help emergency services operate more efficiently and minimise inconvenience to commuters as adverse weather conditions persist. The advisory comes as several major roads, underpasses and service lanes remain inundated, with long traffic snarls reported from multiple parts of Gurugram.
