India, Oct. 15 -- The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has activated Stage-I of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) across the National Capital Region (NCR).
This action was taken after Delhi's air quality slipped into the 'Poor' category on Tuesday. Officials said the move aims to stop further deterioration, as weather conditions are expected to remain unfavourable in the coming days.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi's daily average Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 211, which falls in the 'Poor' category.
