Govt forms 13 district committees to monitor monsoon waterlogging
India, July 22 -- Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced on Tuesday that the Delhi Government has constituted District-Level Coordination Committees in all 13 districts of the capital to monitor and prevent waterlogging during and after the monsoon.
Each committee will be chaired by the District Magistrate of the respective district and comprise officials from the MCD, Irrigation and Flood Control Department, PWD, Delhi Jal Board, DDA, Delhi Police traffic wing, and local power distribution companies. The order constituting the committees was issued by the Additional Chief Secretary of the Irrigation and Flood Control Department.
