India, Oct. 25 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday said efforts to clean Yamuna River have been carried out at a war-footing level for the past eight months and the Government is committed to making the Yamuna clean and free-flowing, a continuous process that will remain in place until the river is fully restored.
Making this assertion after inspecting the Chhath Puja ghat of the Pochanpur Chhath Puja Committee located in Dwarka Sector-23B, she noted that visible results of these efforts are now emerging. The Yamuna cleaning campaign is being supported collaboratively by the Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh Governments, along with the Central Government.
