India, Jan. 5 -- The Delhi Government is strengthening financial assistance, residential facilities and support systems for persons with disabilities. Social Welfare Minister Ravinder Indraj on Saturday announced key welfare measures, including a Rs 6,000 monthly assistance scheme for individuals with high support needs. He said these initiatives are part of the government's push toward inclusive development for persons with disabilities.

Speaking at events organised on the occasion of World Braille Day and the birth anniversary of Louis Braille, the minister said the government was committed at every level to the empowerment of children and students with disabilities.
