India, March 25 -- The Delhi Government has allocated over 12.5 per cent of its total Budget to the healthcare sector in FY 2026-27, amounting to about Rs 13,034 crore, with provisions for free genetic testing for newborns, expansion of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, inclusion of transgender persons under the PM-JAY scheme, and a push for better healthcare infrastructure.
Chief Minister and Finance Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday presented a Rs 1.03 lakh crore Budget for FY27, announcing several welfare initiatives. The health allocation marks an increase of 1 per cent from Rs 12,893 crore in 2025-26.
