India, June 26 -- The Centre has, for the first time, officially disclosed the names of six Indian Armed Forces personnel who lost their lives during Operation Sindoor, India's cross-border military operation launched in May last year against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The names were made public in an official response, ending months of speculation over the identities of the soldiers who were killed in action during the operation. Until now, the government had acknowledged casualties but had not released the names of the fallen personnel.
