India, June 30 -- Outgoing Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi on Tuesday said that future conflicts will be increasingly joint, integrated and theatre-oriented, stressing that India's armed forces must operate with greater coordination across the Army, Navy and Air Force to meet evolving security challenges.

Speaking during his ceremonial farewell at South Block in New Delhi, General Dwivedi said the direction for the armed forces is clear: "to see together, take decisions together and take actions together." He noted that modern warfare demands seamless coordination among the three services rather than independent operations.
