India, May 21 -- Security forces in Manipur arrested four cadres linked to the proscribed militant outfit UNLF(P) and recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition during a major joint operation.

The action was carried out by Manipur Police along with personnel from the Assam Rifles and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) following intelligence inputs regarding illegal arms-related activities.

According to officials, the operation was conducted in the Lamshang area of Imphal West district.
