India, June 3 -- Foreigners visiting India on a visa for 180 days or less must now register themselves at any time before their visa expires if they want to stay longer, according to changes in the Immigration and Foreigners Rules, 2025, announced by the Union Home Ministry.

The new rule, announced on Monday, replaces the previous requirement for foreigners to register within 14 days after staying 180 days in India.
