India, May 27 -- Firefighters rescued 23 people, including residents stranded on balconies, after a fire broke out on the ground floor of a four-storey residential building in Rohini on Tuesday morning, while a separate blast in a piped natural gas pipeline in west Delhi's Subhash Nagar left a 42-year-old man with 85 per cent burn injuries late Monday night.

According to the Delhi Fire Services (DFS), the blaze broke out on Shamshan Ghat Road in Vijay Vihar Phase-2. Two people sustained injuries and were admitted to Jaipur Golden Hospital, where their condition is stable.
