India, Oct. 22 -- Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has warned of strict action against content creator Amir Shokeen over a viral video allegedly showing him making racial remarks against a young man from Tripura.

In a post on X on Wednesday, Rijiju said the accused would face consequences despite a delay in filing an official complaint. He said Delhi Police and Tripura Police would "teach him a hard lesson" and criticised those who tolerate such behaviour.

The video, which circulated widely on social media, allegedly shows Shokeen making derogatory remarks about the young man's appearance and identity, triggering outrage across the Northeast.
