Fake call centre busted, 12 held
India, April 8 -- The Delhi Police has busted a fake call centre operating in central Delhi's Guru Arjun Nagar and apprehended 12 people, including two proprietors, for allegedly cheating customers by selling fraudulent roadside assistance policies.
The operation was carried out by the Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Central District following specific intelligence inputs. The accused were running the call centre under the name "RD Services" and had been targeting customers across the country. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central District, Rohit Rajbir Singh, said the racket was unearthed after credible information was received about the illegal operation.
