New Delhi, Aug. 9 -- As India continues to push the boundaries of its clean energy goals, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Friday declared that "India's ethanol journey is unstoppable," while participating in a Fireside Chat Session on the sidelines of the Pioneer Biofuels 360 Summit, held in the capital.
Responding to growing public interest and concerns around ethanol-blended fuels, Puri strongly defended the success and future of the Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) programme. He revealed that India had achieved its ambitious E20 blending target in the current Ethanol Supply Year (ESY)-five years ahead of the original 2030 timeline, and well in advance of the revised 2025 goal.
