India, May 9 -- Punjab Aam Aadmi Party chief and cabinet minister Aman Arora said he was ready to face any investigation and would quit politics if any wrongdoing was proved against him following Enforcement Directorate raids linked to one of his close associates.

Arora's remarks came a day after the Enforcement Directorate conducted searches at multiple locations across Punjab and Chandigarh as part of an ongoing money laundering investigation.

The Punjab minister's name surfaced in connection with the ED action involving his alleged close associate, Gaurav Dhir.

Addressing reporters in Chandigarh, Arora alleged that attempts were being made to politically target and defame him.
