India, Oct. 28 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday announced the second phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in 12 States and Union Territories (UTs) starting from November 4.

The poll body also released the schedule of the exercise with the final electoral rolls to be published on February 6, 2026. Draft rolls will be released December 9.

"Voters struck from the rolls can file appeals from date of publication of draft rolls to January 8. The final revised voter list will be published February 7," Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said.

Kumar said SIR will be held in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, Rajasthan...
