India, Sept. 25 -- The Election Commission of India Wednesday set the ball rolling to fill the four vacant seats in the House of Elders (Rajya Sabha) from Jammu and Kashmir after a gap of more than four long years. According to the notification issued by the ECI, Biennial elections to fill four Rajya Sabha seats from Jammu and Kashmir will be held on October 24.
The Rajya Sabha (RS) elections for the four Jammu and Kashmir seats are being held nearly a year after the assembly polls were held in the Union Territory.
