India, July 10 -- External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar paid an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, where he held wide-ranging discussions with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi to strengthen the India-Oman Strategic Partnership.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the 2 leaders reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on regional and global developments of mutual interest.

During the talks, Jaishankar expressed India's appreciation to the Omani government for its prompt assistance to Indian seafarers during the recent regional developments, highlighting the close coordination between the two countries in ensuring the safety and welfare of Indian nationals.
