India, May 10 -- Pop star Dua Lipa has filed a $15 million lawsuit against Samsung, accusing the technology giant of using her image on television packaging without authorisation.

According to reports, the lawsuit was filed in the US District Court for the Central District of California. The singer alleges Samsung began featuring her photograph on product packaging last year without seeking consent or offering compensation.

The complaint claims Dua Lipa's team had earlier demanded the removal of the packaging, but Samsung allegedly refused to comply.

The filing states that the singer's image was used in a large-scale marketing campaign without her approval or involvement.
