India, May 28 -- Dr Ravindra Kumar Tyagi has joined the Power Foundation of India as director general on Wednesday.

With over 35 years of distinguished experience in the power sector, Dr Tyagi brings deep expertise across power systems, transmission, asset management, engineering, business development, telecom, load dispatch, safety, and grid operations.

Prior to this role, he superannuated as Chairman & Managing Director of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited and also served as Director (Operations) and Executive Director (North-Eastern Region).
