India, May 13 -- US President Donald Trump arrived in Beijing for crucial talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, with discussions expected to focus on the Iran conflict, trade tensions and US arms sales to Taiwan.

The much-anticipated summit will take place on Thursday, when both leaders are scheduled to hold formal bilateral talks followed by a state banquet.

According to reports, China is extending a high-profile ceremonial welcome to the US President upon his arrival. Air Force One landed in Beijing earlier in the day, where Trump is expected to be received by senior Chinese and US officials.
