New Delhi, Aug. 24 -- India has drawn firm "red lines" in its ongoing trade negotiations with the United States with Minister of External Affairs (EAM) S Jaishankar signalling that the Government will not compromise on the interests of farmers and small producers, even as pressure mounts from Washington over issues like Russian oil imports and agricultural market access.

Speaking at an event of World Leaders Forum, Jaishankar addressed growing tensions in the India-US trade relationship, declaring that India's sovereignty over its economic decisions is non-negotiable.
