India, June 16 -- A major traffic disruption has hit Delhi after authorities closed a key stretch of Ring Road between Maharani Bagh and Ashram Chowk for emergency repair work, leading to severe congestion across South Delhi and the DND Flyway corridor.

According to a Delhi Traffic Police advisory, the carriageway will remain completely shut for approximately three to four days starting late June 15 to allow repair of a damaged 1,200-mm Delhi Jal Board (DJB) water pipeline near Ashram Chowk.
