India, March 24 -- The total number of motor vehicles on roads in Delhi till 2025-26 is 87.61 lakh, showing an increase by 7.93 per cent compared to 2024-25, according to the Economic Survey of Delhi 2025-26 report released on Monday. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday tabled the report on the first day of the Delhi Assembly's Budget session.

As per the report, the total number of motor vehicles on the road in the NCT of Delhi as on March 19, 2026, is 87.61 lakh, showing an increase by 7.93 per cent compared to 2024-25. GNCTD has banned Diesel Vehicles more than 10 years old, and Petrol Vehicles of more than 15 years old, hence deregistered 66,20,160 vehicles up to 2025-26 (March 19, 2026).
