India, May 8 -- Delhi recorded the highest value of stolen property among all Union Territories in 2024, even as the national capital saw a marginal improvement in its recovery rate compared to the previous year, according to the latest National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data.

The NCRB's 'Crime in India 2024' report showed that property worth Rs 671.4 crore was reported stolen in Delhi in 2024, while property worth Rs 105.0 crore was recovered, resulting in the recovery rate of 15.6 per cent.

In 2023, property worth Rs 688.6 crore was reported stolen in the national capital, of which Rs 99.7 crore was recovered, taking the recovery rate to 14.5 per cent.
