Delhi Police refute claims of gunshot injury to woman protester
India, July 30 -- Delhi Police on Wednesday dismissed social media claims that a woman protester sustained a gunshot injury during the July 20 protest in central Delhi, saying her official medico-legal certificate (MLC) does not support the allegation.
In a statement, the police said the MLC prepared at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital on the day of the protest records a lacerated wound in front of the right tragus, with the nature of the injury described as blunt. According to the doctor's opinion, the injury was simple and there was no evidence of a gunshot wound.
