India, Sept. 22 -- The Delhi Police Crime Branch has successfully prevented a potential gang war in the city by arresting two key members of the infamous Sunny Sai gang.
The arrests, made early Saturday morning, led to the seizure of powerful guns and ammunition. Police believe the duo was planning to start a major conflict.
The arrested men have been identified as 27-year-old Sukhpreet also known as 'Mafia,' and 25-year-old Shamshad Ali also known as 'Pahalwan.' Both have a long history of serious crimes, including murder, armed robbery, and extortion. They had been out of jail on bail for about two months.
Their arrest was the result of a special operation by the Crime Branch's Anti-Gang Squad (AGS).
