India, Oct. 20 -- Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Saturday said that after a long time, the national Capital has elected a government that "truly understands the sentiments of its people" and respects all religions while reconnecting Hindus with their traditions.
Speaking on the sidelines of Deep Utsav celebrations in Delhi, Sachdeva said the scale of festivities this year reflected a shift in the city's cultural atmosphere. "The Deep Utsav, which people had so far only heard of in Ayodhya and other cities, is now being witnessed in Delhi," he said.
