India, May 25 -- A Delhi court convicted Congress leader Alka Lamba in a case related to the alleged assault of police personnel during a protest held at Jantar Mantar in 2024.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Ashwani Panwar passed the order of conviction and listed the matter for June 5 for arguments on sentencing.

The case stems from allegations that police officials were assaulted during a protest demonstration in the national capital's Jantar Mantar area. A detailed copy of the court's order is still awaited.
