India, May 22 -- The Delhi government has launched Uber's carpool service at Delhi Airport in an effort to encourage ride-sharing, reduce traffic congestion, and promote environmentally friendly travel in the national capital.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta officially flagged off the service, marking the return of shared mobility options that had largely been discontinued during the COVID-19 period.

The initiative aims to provide passengers with a more convenient and cost-effective travel option while also supporting the city's efforts to reduce vehicle emissions.
