India, Nov. 12 -- A powerful car explosion near Delhi's iconic Red Fort on Monday evening killed at least ten people and injured over 20 others, sending shockwaves through the nation and prompting global condolences.

The blast, which occurred near Gate No 1 of the Red Fort metro station, caused a massive fire that engulfed several vehicles. Investigators have said preliminary evidence suggests a terror attack.
