India, May 1 -- Delhi on Friday launched the online self-enumeration process for Census 2027, allowing residents to digitally submit their household details across all Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) wards.

Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta were among the first to complete the process on the opening day, encouraging citizens to participate in the initiative.

The chief minister described the process as simple and secure, emphasising that accurate data collection is essential for designing effective public policies and ensuring benefits reach those in need.
