Delhi approves new super-speciality block at GTB
India, Sept. 17 -- The Delhi Cabinet has approved construction of a 250-bed Super-Speciality-cum-Trauma Block at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital in Dilshad Garden, East Delhi, for '244.87 crore, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced.
The seven-storey block will be built within GTB Hospital's existing campus, eliminating the need for additional land purchase, and will come up under Phase-IV of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY).
The Chief Minister said GTB Hospital remains the only major Government hospital in East Delhi and continues to face a heavy patient load, with almost all its beds occupied at any given time.
