India, Aug. 17 -- A burglary at the residence of a Delhi Police DCP in the upscale Kaka Nagar area was solved within 24 hours, with the police recovering all the stolen articles, including an iPhone, diamond ring, cash and important documents, official sources said on Monday.

The incident took place on August 11 when the officer left his residence around 5.30 am for duty. He returned around 8 am and found the house ransacked, following which the Tughlak Road police station was informed.

According to police sources, the officer had left through a door near the kitchen which could not be locked. On returning, he found several belongings missing from the house, they said.
