DDA launches Jal Sanchay Abhiyan
India, May 17 -- The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on Saturday launched the Jal Sanchay Abhiyan, a campaign to revive ponds, lakes, and reservoirs damaged by years of encroachment, siltation, and neglect.
Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu inaugurated the initiative at District Park, West Vihar, by commencing desilting work on the 1.47-hectare lake there and said the Authority will restore 101 water bodies across the capital by the end of August.
