D.K. Shivakumar Sworn In as Karnataka Chief Minister, G. Parameshwara Takes Oath as Deputy CM
India, June 3 -- Senior Congress leader D.K. Shivakumar was sworn in as the 34th Chief Minister of Karnataka on Wednesday, marking the completion of the leadership transition from outgoing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
The oath-taking ceremony was held at Lok Bhavan in Bengaluru in the presence of top Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge. Shivakumar took the oath of office and secrecy in the name of Gangadhar Ajjayya.
Alongside the Chief Minister, 13 Cabinet ministers were also sworn in. Senior leader G. Parameshwara took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister in the name of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
